Sony RX-100: MORE kayaking

Last night I went out for one last season paddle with the Milwaukee Kayak Company! This time I got my buddy, Maurice, to come out, too. 🙂  We went from the dock in the Third Ward, back around the Harley Davidson Museum, and followed the Burnham Canal to its end. As always, we had a great time.

Paddling on the river…it’s like walking barefoot in a park, or  on a sidewalk – it makes you SO much more invested in that experience, and so much more concerned for it. Seeing litter in a park disappoints even more when you’re barefoot; watching various bits of garbage floating in the river as you quietly paddle along makes that garbage even MORE disrespectful to the environment.

Get IN the environment, TAKE CARE of the environment.

if you’d like to help take care of Milwaukee’s great green and blue spaces, please consider supporting Milwaukee RiverKeeper, Urban Ecology Center, or the River Revitalization Foundation.

here’s some snaps from the paddle! You can see pics from my other outings here, here, and here!
