On March 27, 2011, Cardinal Stritch University and Troy Freund will once again host the FreeTimers’ Business of Photography one-day workshop for new and emerging photographers.
-This day will feature presentations for a number of professional photographers, discussing their work and specific business aspects thereof. There will also be a portfolio review, where people can get feedback on their images from working graphic designers.
+Doug McGoldrick: Chicago-based commercial/fine art photographer and college educator
+Linda Gumieny: highly regarded Milwaukee wedding photographer
+Erinn Finlan: SE-WI family and children photographer
+Tom Lynn: Milwaukee photojournalist
–Pamela Kramer: photo-rep (portfolio review)
–Kari Braden: art director (portfolio review)
–Lee Golden: creative director (portfolio review)
This get-together will serve the same purpose as past workshops–to improve and elevate the professionalism of all attendees through the sharing of information. If MORE photographers in the area work with solid business practices and professionalism, ALL photographers will have a better chance at making a living.
